As a business student at the University at Albany, the State University of New York, Albert Comas is training in such areas as analyzing financial statements, financial management, and financial accounting. As Administrative Assistant at the Wadsworth Medical Center in New York City, he implements the concepts and practices he has learned, leading to revenue growth and cost savings. As a respected and admired leader on his college campus in Albany, Albert Comas founded a fraternity chapter and was instrumental in leading his chapter’s members to be motivated students and enthusiastic participants in community activities.

Scheduled to graduate in May 2014 with a B.A. in Business Administration, Albert Comas carries a grade point average of 3.7, was named to the Dean’s List in the spring of 2012, and belongs to the Financial Analyst Honors Program and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Also in the spring of 2012, he founded the University at Albany’s chapter of the Kappa Sigma fraternity and nearly doubled its membership the next semester. Comas arranges motivational speakers for his fraternity brothers and schedules weekly member conferences to enhance communications.

Albert Comas started his job at Wadsworth Medical Center in the summer of 2011. In addition to improving the productivity of a staff of 13 by managing sector teams and training staff members in how to use the online medical databases, he performed a thorough analysis of the firm’s expenses, identifying excess spending in storage, supplies, and payroll, and implemented steps that produced significant savings. Comas also composed strategic client service plans that contributed to a growth in the client base.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, the comprehensive office productivity package, Albert Comas is fluently bilingual in Spanish and English. Outside of the classroom and the office, he participates in area charitable activities, including the Tough Mudder Marathon and Saint Catherine’s Clothing Drive. An avid runner and rower, his favorite team sport is volleyball.
